The National Geographic Traveler magazine did a list with outstanding trips with destinations all over the world called “Tours of a Lifetime”. In the category Center and South America the magazine selected the
Ushuaia – Punta Arenas route of Australis
Cruises as the numer one spot.

The publication highlights the own style of the Cruceros Australis crafts fleet: Via Australis, Mare Australis and the Stella Australis(to be launched at the end of this year) which have a capacity ranging between 130 and 210 passengers, with panoramic windows in each cabin and a range of wines, that are included in the ticket.

The prestigious magazine comments that Australis Cruises navigates from Ushuaia, Argentina to Punta Arenas, Chile (or vice versa) and that during this amazing trip, the passengers may enjoy speeches held by guides with high knowledge on topics regarding Patagonia and its history, while they navigate through fjords, visiting glaciers and the Beagle Channel, famous for the visit by Charles Darwin before heading towards the Galapagos Islands.

The National Geographic Traveler mentions in the description of this tour, Magdalena Island, where you can observe the Magellanic penguins, the biggest colony southern Patagonia.
